- 1.0 Introduction
-
- The program was developed to aid in learning Morse code. A problem
- developed due to the fact that the same text file used in studying
- Morse code would be memorized because the available Morse code
- programs come with only a few text files that can be used. This
- program will simply create text file that have a one sided QSO.
-
- The advantage this program has is that it has more variability than
- the other existing programs (Super Morse, Morse Academy). Re-ordering
- of sentences, 184 names, 102 antennas, 110 radios, 212 locations, 31
- excuses, 165 occupations, 18 weather conditions, and many other surprises.
-
-
-
- 2.0 Running the Program
-
- To run the program simply type QSO at the DOS prompt. The program
- will create a file named QSO.TXT. If the file exists before running
- the program it will ask if the file can be overwritten.
-
- Command line options have a form of: QSO FILE_NAME
- Use any DOS compatible filename. Examples are as follows:
-
-
- QSO QSO1.KB
-
- The command line option will create a file named QSO1.KB (normally
- used for Morse Academy).
-
- QSO QSO2.SM
-
- The command line option will create a file named QSO2.SM (normally
- used for Super Morse).
-
- QSO OFFICECW.TXT
-
- The command line option will create a file named OFFICECW.TXT (normally
- the default file used for OFFICECW.COM).

- 3.0 About the Program
-
- The Rev. 1.0 program was developed using BORLAND(r) C++ V3.1. The
- program was written in a few hours. Refinements for a
- week were performed to add additional variables. Future revisions
- will simply add more items to the lookup table, if necessary.
